ILLINOIS WOMAN WEARING HIJAB ALLEGES DUNKIN' DONUTS EMPLOYEE CALLED HER 'WEIRDO'

An Illinois woman, Inayah (@inayahbeldeen), claims a Dunkin' Donuts employee referred to her as a "weirdo" while she was placing an order at a drive-thru. The incident was documented in a TikTok video and has garnered significant attention online. Inayah, who was wearing her hijab during the encounter, said she felt uncomfortable and questioned the employee's remark.

Inayah later shared additional details about the interaction in follow-up videos. After contacting Dunkin' about the incident, she said the company apologized and provided her with a $100 Dunkin' gift card. She remarked on the irony of the gesture but urged her followers not to harass the restaurant location or its employees over the matter.

At this time, Dunkin' has not issued a public statement specifically addressing the allegations. The reported details are based solely on Inayah's social media posts, and the claims have not been independently verified. Dunkin' has previously responded to customer-service complaints at franchise locations by issuing public apologies when incidents gained widespread attention.

Inayah's TikTok account primarily features her personal experiences and social commentary. She frequently shares interactions from her daily life, including experiences that spark discussion among her audience. As a Muslim woman who wears a hijab, she often discusses how her identity shapes some of those experiences.
